erbB-2 (HER-2) expression

erbB2 expression status was determined using the CB11 antibody on tumour tissue microarray slides prepared from the paraffin-embedded primary tumour tissue as described (ref 1).

negative = no or weak immunostaining ("2+ or less")
positive =  strong intensity immunostaining ( "3+") present on the cell membrane of the majority of cancer cells was scored as erbB-2(HER-2)-positive.
not available = erbB2 status could not be assessed
