Purpose
The purpose of the study is to develop methods that could aid the physician in estimating the risk of disease recurrence for patients with breast cancer. 

Design
The study is designed to enable a more individualized prediction of survival for a new patient, by matching her disease profile to that of a large number of previous breast cancer patients, whose outcome is known.

Database
The source for the survival data is a Finnish nationwide series of  women with breast cancer.
